Dental Problems Invisalign Can Solve

Dentist Blog

Invisalign uses a clear plastic aligner that not only looks appealing but also effectively addresses misaligned teeth. It is a widely used device in aligning teeth, and its invisibility makes it a preferred aligner by several orthodontic patients. It employs three-dimensional graphics technology in manufacturing a capable aligner. It is a standard method that is embraced by different people with teeth problems. An orthodontist will survey your teeth and assign you the right mask for your teeth, and you are supposed to wear it for about 18 hours a day to achieve the desired results. Here are dental problems that can be solved by Invisalign.

Overbite and Underbite

Overlapping of upper and lower jaws is a hereditary issue that can be repaired using the precise plastic masking technique. An extreme overbite or underbite can damage your teeth gum, leading to other teeth problems if left untreated. Underbites are also responsible for the destruction of upper teeth or pain in your jaw. This mask will help you in balancing your upper and lower teeth.

Overcrowding of Teeth

Just like teeth bites, overcrowding of teeth can be passed from one generation to another through genes. Your jaws might not be able to accommodate all your teeth, leading to overcrowding, which will affect not just your teeth but also your speech. Overcrowding causes misalignment of your dental structure, which set the right environment for the growth of bacteria. Fortunately, this technique can solve this problem if used in the right way and throughout the orthodontist's prescribed period.

Spacing of Teeth

Some people have unnecessarily widely spaced teeth, which will affect the whole dental structure and food stacking in the gaps or your gum. To reduce spaces, you can use  Invisalign, and you'll be amazed at how effective it is in solving this problem. This teeth misalignment can be repaired by using the right mask in a short period.

 Twisted Teeth

Crooked teeth won't give you an aesthetic smile leading low self-confidence. Can Invisalign solve crooked teeth? Yes! To straighten a bent tooth, use Invisalign for a given time, and you will get the desired look. Just like any other treatments, using this device needs strict adherence to the given instructions.

Invisalign can treat several dental problems from crooked teeth to overcrowding. If you want to get rid of spaces in your dental formula, this mask will be an excellent investment. It can also solve all types of misalignment, such as overbites and underbites.

Teeth And Tears: Dental Dramas Of A School Nurse

I have worked as a school nurse for decades. Children come to me with all sorts of scrapes and bumps and bruises. Black eyes from playing football, sprained wrists from falling off the monkey bars and stomachaches from too many sweets are common complaints. However, the issue that seems to cause the greatest angst is tooth problems. Sometimes a child will have a second tooth knocked out when playing sport and parents arrive in tears. At other times, children come to my office crying because their friends are teasing them about teeth that are discoloured or stick out. I take an active interest in the latest dental news so that I can give parents and children comfort and advice. I have included some of my collected wisdom on these pages. Perhaps this information can help you understand some options when faced with a dental problem. Thank you for reading.
